All of us would like to thank everyone who showed up and supported us and were so patient with us going on MUCH later than expected. More details will be passed on about where and when the next round will be held.

The funeral proceedings for Steve Hajdu-Nemeth are as follows:

The wake will be Friday, November 10 at Gleason's Funeral Home from 2 to 4 PM and from 7 to 9 PM.

And now, the moment no one has been waiting for...

September 7 should be the start date for "The Growing Drone," the Mike Kovacs blog to end all Mike Kovacs blogs. He promises nothing except that it will most likely be filled with vowels and consonents, and will hopefully be updated daily (suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure it will). In the words of John Cleese, from The Meaning of Life, "Bon... appetit!"

More news - Mike Kovacs will be playing fewer shows than usual this autumn, because he is working on a cello duet to be debuted in the spring, trying to get a new studio room built, and trying to find a new drummer.

Lots of news today!

The August 13 show was definitely a success. Thanks to your overwhelming generosity and support, over three hundred dollars was raised through CD sales, tickets to win the post-modern guitar (congrats to Peter on that one!), mookie/cuffin sales, and a few private donations. Dottie Stilo thanks you from the bottom of her heart...and so does the band.

Mike would like to extend his personal thanks to everyone involved helping with the show and to all of you who attended. Your presence and generosity have done some definitive good in the world.

The show also marked the release of the new CD, Writing on Water (part II). If you didn't get your copy at the show, you can buy it now exclusively through the website. Just go to the CD information page to learn more about the CD and to order! All proceeds will continue to go to the Stilo family.

And finally, Saturday, November 27 will mark the return to Playhouse 22 of Mike Kovacs and the Post-Modern Tribe PLUS a very special reunion of a great local band.
